Spearfishing trips for the whole family.
If you can snorkel, you can spear.
Don’t dismiss spearfishing as some adrenaline junkie extreme sport that is beyond your capability. We’ve seen people of all ages and conditioning levels dive at our ability or higher. Heck, the Hawaiian ukelele singer was probably a spearo!
Look up any freediving class online; they all advertise that you’ll dive to 50 ft and hold your breath for 2 minutes in one session. In many places, you can shoot a cooler of fish at only half that depth and time. Hunting technique/instinct plays the biggest role, and we’ll get you shooting fish in no time. We only freedive here, so you won’t need to take a class unless you want to be extra prepared. We’ll provide any gear that you don’t already have for a turn-key adventure.
Our camps make great vacations for the whole family, with few tourists and insane scenery. In the unlikely event spearfishing isn’t for you, you’ll still be able to fall back on regular hook-and-line fishing. But on the other hand, you may never want to pick up a rod again!

Inagua Camp (Bahamas)
Clearest water in the world! Inagua is the southernmost island of the Bahamas and it’s best kept secret. No trigger mechs means you’ll be using pole spears or Hawaiian slings, but it also means you’ll find bigger fish in shallower water. Great for beginners. Advanced spearos can join a remote beach camp on uninhabited Little Inagua. Species: Grouper (red, black, nassau, tiger, marbled), snapper (mangrove, grey, red, yellowtail), parrotfish, conch, lobster
Starting at $2,250 per diver
5-day camp
[Year-round] -
Lofoten Camp [Norway]
This is a coldwater camp offered in partnership with Arctic Spearfishing. Good visibility and unpressured fish in waters with no dangerous sharks. Kelp forests, fjords, and sea mounts create diving like you’ve never experienced, but it’s nothing next to the scenery above the water! Beginners will be fine here, but intermediate divers will have a better chance for halibut. Species: cod, pollock, halibut, flounder, sole, wolffish, scallops
Starting at $1,950 per diver
5-day camp
[June - November] -
New Caledonia Camp
Home to the world’s largest coral lagoon system, you’ll see pristine coral heads, sea snakes, and much more. This island is also home to some of the world’s best divers, so we don’t recommend this camp for beginners. As one local spearo put it “even my wife can dive 60 ft.” Advanced divers will have the best success here. Species: blue grouper, coral trout, humphead wrasse, unicornfish, “Spanish” mackerel, GT, dogtooth
Starting at $1,750 per diver
5-day camp
[April - August]

Virginia Inshore
Easiest beginner diving in the world, with the only trade-off being low visibility. While we love our international camps, you can’t beat Virginia for filling a cooler with top-notch meat. Species: spadefish, sheepshead, tautog, bluefish, cobia
Starting at $875 per diver
3 to 5-day camp
[June - September] -
Virginia Near/Offshore
Virginia is an up-and-coming state for offshore diving on weather buoys, lobster pots at the canyons, and 2 wind turbines with many more coming. The nearshore Chesapeake Light can always save the day too. Species: cobia, amberjack, false albacore, mahi
Starting at $1,050 per diver
3 to 5-day camp
[June - September] -
North Carolina Offshore
Our favorite day of diving anywhere in the world. Giant amberjack and potential world-record spadefish are practically guaranteed. Experienced divers can drift bluewater for wahoo and other pelagics. Species: cobia, amberjack, spadefish, mahi, cubera
Starting at $1,250 per diver
3-day camp
[June-September] -
Virginia Tautog Camp
In the early and late season when our summer species are rare, there’s still phenomenal coldwater diving for big tautog over 10 pounds. This can be a great beginner hunt because you’ll hunt in very shallow water when the fish are not pressured. Ben’s PB tog was shot in less than 5 ft!
Starting at $875 per diver
3-day camp
[April - May ; October - November]
