Ibex Camp

While not for the faint of heart, this should be on every able-bodied hunter’s bucket list. You’ll get more adventure crammed into this 9 day schedule than in a month of other outfitted hunts. Between avalanches, frostbite, wolves, bears, and snow leopards, you won’t know which story to tell the next time you’re around a campfire with your buddies. And it won’t matter, because they’re good enough kept all to yourself.

Our partner hunts the north-west region of the Tajikistan for the Bukharan subspecies. Ibex here don’t often reach the 50”+ mark like in the Pamirs, but an average billy will break 35” and be over 8 years old. This is not a horse-back hunt, so be prepared for many miles of hiking.

Himalayan snowcock are numerous if you hold onto your .22 rifle. Finish up early and you can head to the guide’s hometown south of Dushanbe for truly enormous wild boar and virgin predator hunting. Ben will accompany you as camp translator, spotter, and all-around “fixer”. So when comparing quotes from other outfitters, don’t forget to add the $3,000 they would charge for the same service!
